Following our incredible success last year, Aqua Platinum Projects have entered UK Pool and Spa Awards 2021 for the eighth year running. We are pleased to announce completion of Auriens Chelsea, a new luxury later living development opening just off the King’s Road in London. Aqua Platinum were delighted to be appointed as the design and build contractor for the residents’ wellness facilities on this outstanding development. No detail has been left unconsidered; not only to achieve a beautifully designed pool but also to provide Rolls Royce of plantrooms, based on a Devin Consultancy’s specification, Auriens Chelsea is the most incredible project we have been a part of.
The resident’s wellness facilities include a 15-metre deck level swimming pool with a bespoke triple slot detail for the level deck trough, complete with parallel secondary drainage slots to pick up excess surface water. Our designers thoroughly thought out the strategy to deliver this detail which included bespoke stainless steel supporting frames, ultimately achieving a crisp and clean linear aesthetic. The trough continues seamlessly through to the vitality pool which includes two air massage recliners and a large stainless-steel bench for residents to enjoy.
The pool is complete with a bespoke Himalayan salt sauna, which gives health and wellness benefits through Halotherapy. Salt levels in our bodies affect our energy, cell activity and blood sugar levels. The negatively charged ions found in Himalayan salt help to improve our moods and overall health.
The swimming pool and the vitality pool are located on the lower level and accessed via the spa. Beneath the world-class facilities lies the plantroom which in itself is the best plantroom that Aqua Platinum have ever built. The state-of-the-art filtration equipment installed is of the highest quality that could only be found in a Devin specification, from the custom-made pumps and strainers to the deep bed filters, medium rate UV units and much, much more. The control panels were made to order to allow full BIM integration, allowing the facilities management team to control and monitor the systems with the utmost ease.
We worked closely with PDP architects, a renowned London based firm, who designed the contemporary building with inspiration from the elegant Georgian townhouses of Chelsea, implementing a warm brickwork design, classic proportions, and utilising the distinguished setting. In addition, Aqua Platinum worked alongside Multiplex, building on our ever-growing relationship to deliver this major development in the midst of a global pandemic. We thank both the Auriens’ team, Multiplex and our valued suppliers that made this milestone possible.
Auriens Chelsea has been an incredible project to be a part of, whilst with its challenges. Aqua Platinum are delighted to have delivered this project to the highest standard and whilst doing so learnt valuable lessons that we will execute on every project going forward.

Also known as “The Peninsula”, this exciting development is based on Hyde Park Corner in Belgravia – one of London’s most celebrated addresses – and will boast both hotel and residential facilities. Linked by a series of ballrooms and shops, this incredible building is set to make its mark on the London landscape.
Aqua Platinum have been given the opportunity to design and build the luxury amenities that include two 25 metre lap pools and two vitality pools for the hotel guests and residents’ respectively. All of the pools have been designed with a hybrid edge detail providing a minimal freeboard whilst still allow complete perimeter surface drainage, a fantastic solution to the age-old aesthetic vs function conundrum.
Further to this, we’ve been given the chance to showcase our workmanship with the inclusion of four steam rooms, four saunas and two ice dispenser features; all with their own individual concepts tailored to suit their surrounding environments.
The Peninsula is due to welcome guests from 2022, where 26 of the 190 rooms will be exclusive luxury accommodation which will offer the residents an ‘oasis of serenity’ in the heart of the busy city. The design and architecture are due to reflect Belgravia’s distinctive heritage and exhibit the best of British culture, art, and cuisine.
Park Modern is Hyde Park’s newest collection of super-prime residences, offering 57 apartments overlooking Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens. The property faces the park from the south, allowing residents to enjoy both the sunrise and the sunset from their apartments.
The building’s exterior design will feature an unusual rippling façade, rather than a rectangular box to represent the parkland and nature that surrounds it. The interiors have also been carefully considered to maximise the views, with large windows, high ceilings and a light colour palette allowing the surrounding parkland to do the talking.
These design features will continue in the reception area and on the wellbeing floor where work is currently underway for a residents-only spa that will include treatment rooms and a gym that will overlook Aqua Platinum’s stunning 25m swimming pool and spa installations.
Set in the heart of Battersea, the Nine Elms project will see the development of plots B & D at the former Royal Mail centre. Construction is rapidly progressing and we are due to attend site imminently. The site is set to create a vibrant mixed-use neighbourhood to include up to 1,950 residential units, a primary school, retail units and community facilities.
The Nine Elms area is undergoing one of the largest regenerations in London, making it the heart of a very exciting place to live. Close to the River Thames, this will become an extremely vibrant riverside location, with new green spaces, shops, restaurants and bars.
Plot B will feature a stunning lap pool overlooking the heart of the Nine Elms area and plot D will host a beautiful modern pool and spa designed to be the social hub of the development. Both pools will include an infinity detail running to the edge of the building, giving the users the impression that the water flows off the building; a striking detail that really furthers not only the aesthetic but the experience. We are thrilled to be working alongside both Telford Homes and Greystar to bring these concepts to fruition, and to tackle challenges outside of the norm (being rooftop developments).

After a competitive tender process, the client ultimately chose to progress with APP due to our inclusion of market-leading, eco-conscious waterproofing, rendering, and tiling products, alongside clearly detailed information regarding the high-specification materials and plant equipment that we utilise as standard.
Aqua Platinum Projects were awarded the design & build contract for the development and installation of a family outdoor swimming pool, separate spa pool, and sauna within the adjacent pool house.
We have worked closely with the Client during the detailed design phase to development and installation that will perfectly complement their new detached family home in London.
A key element we detailed during design, was the ability to winterise the main pool during the colder months, whilst keeping the spa pool fully functional to enjoy on those crisp winter evenings.
We are pleased to be working alongside AWS Prime Property, an expert property buying agency based in Knightsbridge, London to bring the client’s dream outdoor pool to life. Works on site are moving quickly with the dig complete and the first fix pipework starting shortly. Our client and family will be swimming in time for the English summer.

Aqua Platinum is thrilled to share that we have secured several design contracts for prestigious residential projects across the UK. Our latest design contract is for a private client looking to develop their plans for a bespoke wellness facility at their home-based in Fulham, London.
Our client could see the benefit in utilising our detailed design services to develop a design that exactly meets their requirements. During our design phase for the installation, the design varied slightly, and we were on hand throughout to help explore ideas and add detail to the requirements of the surrounding works that would be undertaken by others, whilst providing realistic budget costings to inform decisions.
