My career in the swimming pool and construction industry spans 24 years, marked by extensive international experience. My work has taken me across various continents, allowing me to contribute to projects in the Middle East, including Egypt and Qatar, and several European countries such as Lithuania, Latvia, Sweden, Finland, France, Spain, and the Aland Islands. This geographical exposure likely granted me insights into different construction practices, cultural considerations, and regional regulations.
My collaboration with prominent manufacturers within the swimming pool equipment sector, including industry giants like Fluidra, EML, Calplas, Speck, Saci, ATG, among others, is indicative of my expertise in cutting-edge technologies and high-quality equipment.
Membership in organisations like the Pool Water Treatment Advisory Group (PWTAG) and the Institute of Swimming Pool Engineers (ISPE) speaks about my commitment to professional development, adherence to industry standards. Being part of these organisations likely provided me with a platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and staying updated with the best practices and guidelines in the field.
Seven years ago, I made a move to the UK, where I’ve spent the last five years at APP, initially starting as a project manager. This transition has presented new challenges and opportunities for growth, allowing me to leverage my experience in managing and overseeing complex projects within a new organisational context.
My personal interests in outdoor activities, such as hiking, mountaineering, and a wide array of water sports, with a particular passion for diving.
As the Technical Director overseeing the group of APP companies, my role is ensuring the seamless execution of projects from the pre-build (design) to the build stages. My responsibilities encompass a broad spectrum of tasks aimed at guaranteeing the use of appropriate products, adherence to the highest industry standards and guidelines, integration of the latest products, and ensuring the feasibility and constructibility of all projects undertaken.
Strategic Oversight: My position involves a strategic overview of the design and construction phases.
Quality Assurance: I play a critical role in maintaining quality standards throughout the project lifecycle. This involves thorough inspections, quality checks, and continuous assessments to ensure that the projects meet or exceed industry standards.
Compliance and Standards: Ensuring strict adherence to industry regulations and safety standards is part of my mandate.
Team Leadership and Development: As a senior manager within the organization, I lead a team and work closely with departments. My guidance contributes to the professional growth and development of team members, ensuring a high-performing and skilled workforce.
We build what others can’t!
Before APP – Lysingsbadet. This is 5 star water park in Sweeden, Vastervik town. I was overseeing design and build of the main pool (almost 1k m3 volume pool), numerous amount of water slides and other interactive features, such as 5m long waterfall, lazy river, outdoor/indoor slides, smaller waterfalls, fountains, 35m outdoor pool, 1 vitality pool (for ~20 people) with 2 swim jets, 2 spa pools, 2 steam rooms, 2 saunas. I was overseeing whole construction of the water park, including all ground works, changing rooms, restaurant, etc.
